🏃‍♂️ Sync Strava with Final Surge

Syncing your Final Surge account to your training app of choice means your completed activities will automatically upload to Final Surge and merge with the planned session in your training program for that day.

In the Final Surge app, completed sessions are then highlighted either green, amber, or red, depending on how successful they were. Your training data also syncs to Final Surge, allowing me to further analyse your progress and make changes to your program if necessary.

Fortunately, it’s super simple to connect a range of different training apps with Final Surge. Supported apps include Strava, Garmin Connect, COROS, Polar Flow, TrainerRoad, Wahoo SYSTM, Wahoo ELEMNT, HealthFit, ROUVY, MapMyRun, Stryd, Elite HRV, RunGap, and more!

This step-by-step guide provides instructions for syncing Strava with Final Surge using the Final Surge mobile app. The process is similar whichever training app you use.

Note: you may well use two training apps. For example, you have a Garmin watch which records your activities and then uploads them to Strava. In this instance, only sync one of your training apps (eg Garmin Connect OR Strava). If you sync both apps, your activities will display in your Final Surge training program twice. I recommend just syncing Strava, as all of your activities (however they are recorded) will typically end up on there.

🔗 Connect Final Surge to Strava

First, head to the Final Surge app and tap on the “More” menu at the bottom of the screen.

From the More menu, tap on “Connected Apps”.

On the Connected Apps page, tap on “Strava”.

When the Strava Sync Accounts screen opens, tap on the “Connect with Strava” button at the bottom of the screen.

You will then be taken to a Strava login page. Login to your Strava account.

Once logged in, you will be asked to authorise Final Surge to connect to Strava.

Ensure the “View data about your private activities” checkbox is ticked and tap the “Authorize” button at the bottom of the screen.

Once you have successfully connected your accounts, the Strava Sync Accounts screen will display as “Synced” in green. All completed Strava workouts will now automatically sync to Final Surge.
