🇦🇪 7 Emirates (2026)
In 2026, Michael Logue broke the Guinness World Record for ‘fastest crossing of the United Arab Emirates on foot (male)’ and set a new FKT by running across all 7 Emirates of the UAE in 5 days 8 hours 11 minutes. Michael started from the Gulf of Oman coastline in Fujairah and finished at the border with Saudi Arabia in Al Ghuwaifat, averaging more than 100km a day to complete the 600km route. He undertook the challenge to push his mental and physical limits and to prove to himself and others that we're all capable of much more than we think.
This was a fairly simple event to organise from a logistical perspective, the 7 Emirates being an already established route. However, operating the challenge itself was a whole different matter. Michael covered 120km on the first day, running under the afternoon sun during a heatwave in the UAE. After suffering mild heatstroke, we adjusted the plan to a split-day schedule (run from 4am-midday, rest, run from 4pm to midnight, rest), which allowed Michael to cover more distance out of the sun but placed a much higher demand on the crew, who were ultimately only sleeping for 2-3 hours a day. As the old military adage goes, “no plan survives contact with the enemy”.
Michael Logue
“I was lucky enough to have Taylor (a good friend and someone I undertook Royal Marines training with) support, organise and be there every step of the way for this successful record attempt.
Having someone there that can stand by your side throughout it all, through the good and the bad, who can adjust the plan to suit when things don’t go as they should, and stay calm no matter what, is invaluable. These records are so mentally draining and you need someone with that wealth of experience that knows what to do and when to do it.
There’s no way I would have secured this record if it wasn’t for Taylor. I got sun stroke on the first day and he immediately changed and adapted the plan to ensure that we could continue on with the record attempt.
I can’t speak highly enough of Taylor and would recommend anyone that is wanting to undertake anything of this magnitude to utilise his experience – it will make everything smoother and will put your mind at ease no matter the challenge.”
🌍 Project Se7en (2025)
In 2025, Spencer Matthews broke the Guinness World Record for ‘fastest time to complete a 140.6-mile triathlon distance on seven continents (male)’ by completing a 140.6-mile triathlon (the same distance as an Ironman) in London (Europe), Arizona (North America), Cape Town (Africa), Perth (Oceania), Dubai (Asia), Rio de Janeiro (South America), and Antarctica in 21 days 9 hours 18 minutes. He also broke the Guinness World Record for ‘fastest 140.6-mile triathlon distance on Antarctica (male)’ by completing the final full-distance triathlon on Antarctica in 28 hours 51 minutes 11 seconds. Spencer undertook the challenge to raise money and awareness for James' Place, a charity that works to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis. He raised over £260,000.
This was without doubt the most complex event I've organised to date. Production was also confirmed very last minute, meaning I only had 5 weeks to get everything in order. With dozens of stakeholders, all in different time zones, all with unique permit / customs / logistics requirements, the planning stage was an endurance challenge of its own. Operating the challenge itself, with limited rest between destinations, and topping it off with the most extreme continent of them all, pushed the entire team to their physical and mental limits. This was one of the few events where just getting everyone home safely was fulfilling enough – to achieve both our goals was a welcome bonus. The adventure of a lifetime.
Spencer Matthews
“I feel so lucky to work with experienced legends when it comes to taking on these challenges.
Success wouldn’t be achieved without their constant professionalism. Taylor, as well as organising the entire event, makes me feel calm and safe. No problem can’t be solved by him. Even ripping the wetsuit just before the most dangerous part of the entire challenge, the Antarctic swim, drew no reaction out of him. He just calmly fixed it (with duct tape!) and we moved forward.
I couldn’t be more thankful to these men for spending the last 21 days with me, away from their loved ones. Camaraderie and teamwork are a massive part of what has kept Project Se7en moving. Love to you both.”
🏃♀️ Circuit of Cornwall (2025)
In 2025, Elsey Davis set a new Circuit of Cornwall FKT by completing a full loop of the county in 6 days 8 hours and 12 minutes. The Circuit of Cornwall is a 620km route which connects the Cornish section of the South West Coast Path (from Plymouth in the south to Marsland Mouth in the north), with the newly established Tamara Coast to Coast Way. Elsey undertook the challenge to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK after her Mum was diagnosed with young onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2023. She raised over £27,000.
I've spent many hours of my life chasing people around on multi-day adventures, but I've never seen anyone operate quite like Elsey. Completing long and arduous days consecutively, over remote and challenging terrain, in testing weather conditions, all whilst trying to adhere to a logistical plan contingent on external factors is never simple, but Elsey's attitude (a quiet resolve, never moaning, always making good decisions, and seemingly impervious to bad weather) made my job about as easy and enjoyable as it gets. Watching Elsey crest the final hill at Land's End hand-in-hand with her Mum was an emotional finale to a hugely inspiring week. Watch the full feature length documentary on YouTube.
Elsey Davis
“Taylor is an amazing human and I'm hugely grateful for everything he's done for me this past week. He's massively hard working and went above and beyond anything I ever expected. He was always calm and collected when I needed it most and always made me feel sure we were going to make it no matter what.
It’s been a pleasure sharing this experience with Taylor and I won’t ever forget his support on my epic journey around Cornwall. Thank you for making it possible (and basically running half of Cornwall too!)”
🏔️ Sky's The Limit (2025)
In 2025, Josh Patterson broke the Guinness World Record for ‘highest altitude reached by marathon distance run (male)’ by completing a full marathon (42.2km) at extreme altitude in the Bolivian Andes. Josh started his marathon near the village of Quetena Chico (at 4,150m altitude) and finished at the summit of the “zombie” volcano Cerro Uturuncu (at 6,008m altitude). Josh undertook the challenge to raise money for Baby Loss Club, in memory of his godson Archie Oliver. He raised over £27,000.
This was an epic expedition from start to finish. Coaching Josh through the process of training for a marathon at extreme altitude (which involved accumulating hundreds of hours of altitude exposure: sleeping in an altitude tent, intermittent hypoxic exposure in an altitude mask, and plenty of treadmill sessions in an altitude chamber), whilst planning the logistics of a world record attempt in an extremely remote location was a stimulating challenge. The plan on the day came together with military precision thanks to great teamwork, and a little bit of luck. I'll never forget crawling up that final climb above 5,800m altitude alongside Josh!
Josh Patterson
“As with our previous challenges, Taylor took the reins on planning Sky's The Limit from start to finish. I knew I wanted to break the record for the highest altitude marathon, and Taylor found the perfect location to do it, once again proving his expertise in event logistics.
Operating a world record endurance challenge in a foreign country, with multiple safety teams and filming personnel, all whilst at altitude is no easy task. But Taylor was characteristically calm and assured, especially when things got tough, which put everyone else at ease when it mattered most. There really is no-one else I would want by my side when I take on these challenges. Thank you brother, we did it again.”
🚴♀️ 15 in 15 in 15 (2025)
In 2025, Meg Pragnell broke the Guinness World Record for ‘most consecutive days to complete a 70.3-mile triathlon distance (female)’ by completing a 70.3-mile triathlon (the same distance as a half Ironman) in each of the 15 UK National Parks in 15 consecutive days. Meg undertook the challenge to raise money for Sarcoma UK, which funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by Sarcoma, and campaigns for better treatment. She raised over £9,000.
Travelling across the entire UK, driving over 2,500 miles, and getting a front-row seat to watch as Meg discovered new physical and emotional limits was a real privilege. To think Meg donated a kidney to her Mum less than a year before taking this challenge on is quite simply mind-blowing. Huge respect!!
Meg Pragnell
“From the very bones of an idea to being able to pull off 15 triathlons in 15 days across the 15 National Parks... none of it would have been possible without Taylor!
The logistics for this were complicated but the organisation was exceptional and the communication clear, which allowed a daunting prospect to feel like an epic adventure. I simply could not be more grateful, I am so proud of what we achieved and thank you Taylor for making me feel so safe to give everything to the challenge.”
⚽️ Match Ball Mission (2025)
In 2025, Sam Thompson transported the Soccer Aid for UNICEF match ball from Stamford Bridge in London to Old Trafford in Manchester, by running and cycling more than 260 miles over 5 days. Sam undertook the challenge to support Soccer Aid for UNICEF’s mission to help children worldwide grow up safe, healthy, and able to play. He raised over £2 million.
The Match Ball Mission was expertly organised by Threshold Sports. I had the task of coaching Sam (who had never run more than 10km before we started training together!), and running/cycling with him during the event. Being there for Sam as he pushed through physical boundaries and discovered mental strength he didn't know he had, and being part of such a hugely inspiring fundraising effort was a truly unforgettable experience that I'll remember forever. Watch the full feature length documentary on ITVX.
Threshold Sports
“Taylor’s involvement as Sam's running coach for his celebrity challenge was nothing short of exceptional. From the early stages of training right through to the live event, Taylor demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Sam’s success – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
In the lead-up to the challenge, Taylor provided online coaching, offering tailored sessions that fit around Sam’s schedule and ability level. Despite the virtual nature of much of their work, Taylor built a strong rapport with Sam – checking in regularly, offering support and adjustments to his training plan, and always being available on the phone to give thoughtful, expert advice when it was needed most.
They met in person just once during the training period for a run together, but that session made a real impact – offering Sam hands-on guidance and motivation that carried through into the rest of his preparation. Taylor also joined wider event planning calls to contribute his expert opinion, always bringing a calm, knowledgeable presence that helped shape the support around Sam.
When it came to the live event, Taylor was there by Sam’s side every step of the way – literally. He didn’t just run with him; he was a source of constant encouragement, keeping Sam physically safe, mentally focused, and emotionally grounded. Whether it was pacing, fuelling, or just providing a steadying voice through the tougher miles, Taylor ensured Sam never felt alone in the challenge.
He was an integral part of Sam’s journey – an outstanding coach whose expertise, dedication, and genuine care made a difficult challenge not only possible but something truly meaningful.”
🏜️ Great Desert Challenge (2024)
In 2024, Spencer Matthews broke the Guinness World Record for ‘most marathon distances completed on sand in one month (male)’ by running 30 marathons in 30 days through the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. Spencer undertook the challenge to push his physical limits and to raise funds for Global's Make Some Noise, which supports grassroots projects and works with small charities across the UK. He raised over £511,000.
Coaching Spencer (which included conducting heat acclimation protocols in a climate-controlled laboratory in London), organising the event logistics alongside a team of local Bedouin guides (which included planning a 1,266km route through a remote desert environment), and then operating the event safely (which included enacting mitigation procedures, such as swallowing e-pills that transmit core body temperature, conducting regular urine osmolality analysis, and performing ice bath cooling interventions – see here for more information on the data we collected) was a complex, months-long project that required an above-and-beyond level of commitment and attention to detail from everyone involved. “Taylor is much more than a coach to me – he’s someone I trust, respect and am proud to call a friend. He brings the best out in his athletes and allows them to achieve what would have previously seemed impossible. He taught me to run properly and is therefore the reason why I was able to achieve my unprecedented goal.
He was selfless and modest in my pursuit of a World Record and was the difference between success and failure. I love working with Taylor and can’t imagine another journey of this kind without him.
If you are considering a challenge, there is no one better to professionally execute the journey. I'm looking forward to a meaningful future together in this space.”
⛰️ National Three Peaks (2024)
In 2024, Imo Boddy broke the Guinness World Record for ‘fastest time to complete the UK National Three Peaks Challenge on foot (female)’ and set a new FKT by summiting and running between Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), and Snowdon (Wales), in 6 days 5 hours and 43 minutes. Imo took the original sea-level to sea-level route established by Arthur Eddleston and Ann Sayer in 1978 and 1979, and broke Ann's long-standing women's record by more than 18 hours. The total distance covered was approximately 682km, meaning Imo had to run over 100km a day (including summiting one of the Three Peaks every third day) for a week.
Coaching Imo, organising the logistics, and then operating the event itself (managing an exhausted 7-person support crew all working off an average of 3 hours sleep per night – a real test of leadership!) was a true honour. I'm privileged to spend much of my life watching and helping (if I can) people dig deep to achieve incredible feats of endurance. Yet I can confidently say that I've never seen anyone reach their physical limits and then push beyond as frequently as Imo had to during this challenge. Watch the full feature length documentary on YouTube.
Imo Boddy
“I've never had so much trust and faith in someone to help me achieve a goal. Taylor and I had been planning my Three Peaks record attempt for about 12 months. In that time, we recce'd the peaks themselves as a oner and then completed two additional training camps – one in Scotland on Ben Nevis and one in the Lake District on Scafell Pike.
Throughout the record attempt, Taylor never left my side. His support and wealth of knowledge were invaluable to both me and the crew. Challenges like these are a "we" and I had a 7-person support crew. Taylor held us all together throughout the lowest of the lows and highest of the highs. Knowing the limits of when to push someone and when to hold back is incredibly difficult and he nailed it.
(P.s. how someone can be so accurate with predicted timings over a week-long 682km challenge with so many external variables is beyond me, but hey... Chris Taylor can do it all!!)”
🇮🇹 All Roads Lead to Rome (2024)
For Doddie Aid 2024, ex-Scotland rugby captain Rob Wainwright set teams a challenge: to cycle from Murrayfield Stadium (Edinburgh) to Stadio Olimpico (Rome) in time for Scotland's crucial match against Italy in the Six Nations on Saturday 9th March, all while raising as much money as possible for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which funds research into motor neurone disease.
More than 20 teams rose to the challenge and I served as Crew Leader for Needing A Northerly. The four-man cycling team from North Berwick rode 1,650 miles as a non-stop relay over four and a half days, reaching Piazza Navona on Friday afternoon. The Needing A Northerly team raised over £24,423; the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation raised over £591,000; the All Roads Lead to Rome cycle as a whole raised over £700,000; and Doddie Aid 2024 raised £1.4m.
Needing A Northerly
“Whilst some of us had experience of multi-day endurance events, lots of the team hadn't. Having Taylor on board as a wise head helped reassure those who had and encourage those who hadn't. Being able to leave all of the logistics side of things to Taylor made such a difference and we finished on schedule after 4.5 days of multiple changeovers happening across the UK, France and Italy, and often in the small hours. No dramas, all like clockwork, and all with a smile.
No hesitation in recommending Taylor... he's our first choice for the next one!!”
🎅 Runing Home for Xmas (2023)
In 2023, The Running Channel set themselves a festive challenge: to run from their central London office to presenter Rick's home on the Wirral, a distance of more than 360km, in time for Christmas. Backed by Mizuno and Sportsshoes.com, The Running Channel ran non-stop over three consecutive days as a relay team, all in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). They raised over £4,000.
The Running Channel are always great fun to work with and this event was no different! Non-stop relays are hard work, but the delirious banter and chaos that inevitably ensues after a few nights of sleep deprivation is (usually!) worth it. Watch the full documentary on YouTube.
The Running Channel
“Taylor's extensive experience and diligence was invaluable whilst working with us at The Running Channel when we ran from our London office to the Wirral as a relay team. With a big crew and lots of needs from this challenge, having Taylor there to take care of the logistics took a huge weight off our shoulders so that we could focus on running and filming on the day.
He was able to advise us on the terrain and relay changeover locations, keep track of where the runners were at all times and ensure we stayed on track whilst being flexible when needed.
I don’t want to big him up too much(!), but he has been super fun to work with in both the lead up and on the day and we’re really looking forward to working with him again for the next campaign.”
🏛️ Hadrian's Wall Relay (2023)
In 2023, The Running Channel set themselves a challenge: to see how fast they could run the entire 137km length of the Hadrian's Wall Path as a relay team. Whilst running across the width of the UK together, the five women discussed some of the unique challenges that female runners face and tested the safety features of Garmin® watches and handheld GPS devices.
With lots of moving parts and a constantly ticking clock, speed-record relay events are a logistician's dream – and this one was no diferent! A pleasure to help organise and operate. Watch the full documentary on YouTube.

🇬🇧 JOGLE World Champs (2023)
In 2023, Leon Bustin ran 1,347km from John O'Groats to Land's End (JOGLE) in 13 days 15 hours 5 minutes, averaging 95km a day, winning the inaugural UK End to End World Championships, and setting a new FKT for the John O'Groats to Land's End route direction. Leon undertook the challenge to inspire others and to raise funds for REORG Charity, which supports military, veterans and blue light workers. He raised over £13,000.
On the sixth day of the challenge, Leon messaged the crew in our group chat: “I think I'm out”. Getting Leon back on schedule was demanding work, requiring multiple back-to-back 20+ hour days. His transformation from thinking he was finished to reaching that signpost in Land's End more than a week later is one of the most inspirational feats of endurance I've ever witnessed. Purchase the full feature length documentary on Gumroad.
Leon Bustin
“Two weeks ago l barely knew this man and now l would trust him with my life.
We shared moments of pure intrinsic connection, marching in utter silence through the night up Shap Fell. Hairs stood on end, hearts thumping and souls smiling. We also shared moments of pain where l didn’t know where to turn, but l didn’t need to. My first mate had already adjusted course and prepared for what storm was coming.
I always felt safe that Taylor would pull the plug if he really thought it was time, but l was always left ultimately in control to make my own decisions about my body.
We will forever be connected in a way l cannot quite explain. I thank you, l respect you and l would only call on you if and when the next adventure comes calling.
Until next time.”
🏃♂️ Run for 1 Million (2023)
In 2023, Josh Patterson became the first person to run a marathon in all 76 UK cities. He also broke the Guinness World Record for ‘most cities to run a marathon distance in on consecutive days’. Josh undertook the challenge to inspire people struggling with mental health issues and to raise money for Samaritans. He raised over £382,000.
Organising a marathon in a different city every day for several months was a constant cycle of new problems that needed solving. In logistics, there’s a fine line between getting it right and getting it wrong – often the former gets overlooked and the latter is all too eagerly emphasised. Keeping this operation running smoothly for 76 days is one of my proudest achievements to date. Read more.
Josh Patterson
“Surround yourself with good passionate people, and any goal you set yourself in life will be achievable. When hurdles are faced they’re there to share the load, find a solution when an issue occurs, and pick you up when you’re knocked down.
Taylor you were the Batman to my Robin, without you brother I would not have made the 76 days. Not enough words can describe how valuable you were to me. Taylor is not only a sensational coach, but in this space you won’t find a better person to execute and support a challenge than him. Look him up if you have one of your own.”
⛰️ TriPeaksChallenge (2022)
In 2022, Meg Pragnell became the first person to climb the UK Three Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon), swim the three largest lakes in each UK country (Loch Lomond, Lake Windermere, Bala Lake), and cycle between them – all in one go! Meg undertook the challenge in memory of her grandparents and to support the charities that helped them. She raised over £6,500.
This was an epic 11 day adventure, lots of fun to organise and operate. My personal highlight was supporting Meg in a kayak as she swam a chilly Lake Windermere. Watching on as she reached the very edge of her physical limits and then broke through to the other side was a tough but powerful experience. What a legend!!
Meg Pragnell
“What. A. Guy! Without doubt nothing that we achieved back in September could have been done without Taylor – and honestly? I simply wouldn’t want to have done it with anyone else. At very short notice, Taylor shuffled plans to help with TriPeaksChallenge and immediately put us all (including my mum!) at ease with his expertise, knowledge and hard work.
He solved problems that we didn’t even know we had, sorted routes and planned logistics like a king. His knowledge of this field is unrivalled and having him alongside was a total game changer.
The smooth running of the challenge was entirely down to him and his positivity and pep talks really meant so much in some of the tougher hours. Always willing to go the extra mile (including kayaking across the whole of Lake Windermere to help support) and generally slotting in and working so well with my little team. A proper gem of a guy.
Not only incredibly professional, he also became a true friend for life. Thank you, Taylor, for being you! TriPeaks would not have been the same without you.”
🇮🇸 The Great Norse Run (2022)
In 2022, Run Wild organised the third edition of The Great Norse Run, a 209 mile north-to-south traverse across the full length of Iceland. Running as a team through “The Land of Fire and Ice” over 10 days, 14 people who were previously strangers covered back-to-back marathons and ultramarathons whilst living out in the wilderness and battling the notoriously changeable Icelandic weather (the temperatures swung from +20°C to -5°C in a single day).
I joined the organisers on this epic expedition to assist with last-minute logistics and to help keep the event running smoothly throughout. It was an unforgettable adventure and a great privilege to watch strangers unite, overcome tremendous hardship together, and forge friendships for life. Read more.
Run Wild
“Whenever we think about logistics or support for expeditions and events, our first thought is always: what would Taylor do? Every journey Taylor has organised or supported us with has been way better and more memorable for his input. He's our first pick, and our last line of defence. Get him involved, you won't regret it.”
🇬🇧 JOGLE Youngest Female (2022)
In 2022, Imo Boddy became the youngest woman to run the length of the UK, covering the 1,317km from John O’Groats to Land’s End (JOGLE) in 21 days 7 hours 58 minutes, averaging 60km a day. Imo undertook the challenge to demonstrate what young people can achieve with grit and determination, and to raise funds for Young Minds. She raised over £38,000.
Enduring in the face of an insurmountable urge to stop is what ultra running is all about. Simple though it may sound, it’s extremely difficult to pull off – even for just a few hours. Witnessing Imo confront and overcome that feeling 22 days in a row was both an honour and a privilege. 12/10 mental strength!! Read more.
Imo Boddy
“I could write so much about the positive and incredible impact that Taylor had on JOGLE and in my life now. His organisation, understanding and planning was second to none. From the moment we had our first call, he planned EVERYTHING and all I had to do was the training. During JOGLE itself, he set a positive tone every morning with gratitudes, made sure that every bit of admin was sorted and calmed me down at the start of each day.
Going above and beyond is an understatement for what Taylor gave for my challenge and I am forever grateful for that. I will never forget running next to him as Land’s End was in sight, after 22 days of support and more.
…ROLL ON THE NEXT CHALLENGE!”
🦕 Loch Ness Challenge (2022)
In 2022, Visit Inverness Loch Ness hosted the first ever Loch Ness Challenge, a three-day festival of running and cycling events in the Scottish Highlands. The challenge, supported by SSE Renewables, linked the Great Glen Way on the north side of Loch Ness with the South Loch Ness Trail, to offer a complete 360ﹾ circumnavigation of Scotland's most famous loch. Competitors had the option of completing the route on foot (as a single-stage ultramarathon OR a three-stage marathon), or by bike as a single-stage off-road cycling challenge.
With much of the event organised by the time I was drafted in as Race Director, I simply helped put the finishing touches to the weekend's action plan, organised the 50+ person support team, and oversaw the safe operation of the event itself. The Loch Ness Challenge was a huge success with more than 500 participants taking part over the the three-day festival. Watch a summary of the event on YouTube.
Visit Inverness Loch Ness
“Taylor took the role of Race Director for our inaugural Loch Ness Challenge in 2022. The organisation had never run an event of its kind before, and hiring Taylor made the process so much easier from start to finish.
With his depth of knowledge and expertise, he ensured the events on offer were organised with the correct safety procedures in place and reassured us every step of the way. On event weekend itself, we encountered many challenges (like all events!), and Taylor dealt with these in a systemic manner, with composure, patience and diligence.
Without Taylor, the event would not have operated smoothly, and he was an absolute necessity over the course of the event weekend. We would not hesitate in recommending Taylor to anyone thinking about setting up an event and employing a Race Director – we would love to welcome him back with any sports event and cant thank him enough for what he did for us!”
🚁 Run4Nations (2021)
In 2021, Josh Patterson became the first person to run a marathon in all four UK countries in under 24 hours. Josh undertook the challenge to redefine how mental health is perceived in society and to raise money for Samaritans. He raised over £27,000.
Time-based records are always intense. Everything needs to be optimised and streamlined, every second counts. Standing alone in a deserted airfield in Carlisle, watching the helicopter disappear into the rising sun towards Wales and the final marathon, I didn’t think Josh would finish in time. Fortunately, he proved me wrong! Watch the full feature length documentary on Vimeo.
Josh Patterson
“Taylor took the operational lead for Run4Nations, planning all of the routes and logistics, and coordinating the team. From our first conversation to my arrival at the finish line (with 10 minutes to spare!), he went above and beyond to ensure the success of Run4Nations. Simply put, it wouldn’t have happened without him.
Knowing that I was going to be running with Taylor during the challenge was like my safety blanket. This guy is badass – he knows his shit!”
