Running Coach & Event Organiser

Hi! I’m Taylor – a running coach and event organiser (when I’m at work) and an ultra runner and adventurer (when I’m not). I’ve been passionate about endurance performance for as long as I can remember. I studied the science at university, developed the mindset as a Royal Marines Commando, and took up ultra running to see just how far I could push my mind and body. Now, I help others looking to discover their limits too.

As a UK Athletics and UESCA Ultrarunning Coach, I combine my formal training with the lessons learned from my personal experiences to provide unique running coaching for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced elites. Working one-to-one, I take a practical, scientific, ‘no bullshit’ approach to coaching.

I also organise ultra marathon events and bespoke record-breaking challenges worldwide. My work takes me on some epic adventures and I consider it a great privilege to facilitate and witness again and again the powerful transformation that occurs when an individual reaches their perceived limits of endurance… and then ventures beyond.

I combine my formal training with the lessons I’ve learned from my personal experiences to provide unique running coaching for everyone. Working one-to-one, I apply up-to-date science to coach in a progressive, specific and personalised manner, relying on feedback to make adaptations as athletes progress through each training block. I take a holistic approach to coaching, placing equal importance on strength and conditioning, healthy diet, emotional support, and recovery.

Whatever your goal, I can help transform your training to give you the confidence to reach your full potential and get the results you want.

Have you thought of a crazy challenge you want to undertake but don’t know where to start? Perhaps you want to break a world record, but don’t have the time to organise the event? Got it all organised but need some support on the road? Whatever your dream, I can help make it a reality!

I have lots of experience organising and supporting bespoke challenges, from record-breaking runs to world-first triathlons. Taking on the adventure of a lifetime is daunting – so why not let me take care of the logistics, so all you have to do is focus on the training. However crazy your idea seems, I’m here to help. 🏃‍♂️ Training Programs

Your custom-made, flexible and comprehensive training schedule is delivered through the Final Surge® app. Training plans are easy-to-understand and follow, are goal-specific, personalised to suit your needs, and are tailored to your lifestyle and other commitments. No two programs are the same.

📆 Lifestyle Management

Many of the athletes I coach have very busy lives. For that reason, each unique training program is developed from scratch based upon the time and terrain available to you, and is scheduled around your life, work, and other commitments, so that it is realistic and achievable.

🏋️‍♂️ Strength & Conditioning

If you select the strength and conditioning coaching package, I will also program twice weekly strength and conditioning workouts into your plan. The workouts are 30-45 minutes each, require only basic gym equipment, are easy-to-follow (with video instructions) and are specific to your ability and goals.

💬 High Level Support

If you need any changes to your program or have any questions, I’m always available for a chat. Having been ‘on the other side’ as a race organiser, I can also offer valuable insights on kit, nutrition, admin, race strategy and injury prevention to help you better prepare for race day.
